Class of 2010 Graduation

Last night out class of 2010 graduated and enjoyed an evening of dance, fellowship and fun! Our dance started with learning Cha-Cha dance moves with Shirley Wilson at 7pm and Square Dancing began at 8 pm. After alternating a couple of tips, the class graduation ceremony proceeded. The Class of 2010 consisted of 12 students who learned the basic and mainstream moves of Square Dancing. The ceremony consists of Square Dance Commitments and fun with the Caller and students. Bob Morrison performed wonderful class instructions for our students. He presented a poem for his class with his usual humorous manner. Click on the link below to enjoy the cute poem he presented:

The students then presented their Class Valedictorian, Angel Dedications, and a lovely song to Bob. They truly appreciated his time and efforts in their instruction of Square Dancing. In addition, they were very thankful to all the "Class Angels" who came each week to dedicate their time and talents to make sure the learning experience was one of success and fun! Fall Class Registration

You can now register to receive email contacts for our upcoming fall basic/mainstream square dance class. Go to our Lesson Registration Page to sign-up.

We have our open house in August. Please register if you are interested in joining us to get started in the fun of square dancing. You will enjoy every minute of it and it encourages memory retention and an active lifestyle.

This September the GSSDA 38th Annual Convention takes place at the Macon Colliseum & Convention Center. It is now time to start reserving rooms for the event. Motel Rooms and Camping are available in the area.

Currently 40 rooms are blocked under Lakeshore Squares $60 + tax; must make own reservations but inform them of the group name.

Club Dances

The club dances occur on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. The dances are held at the First Presbyterian Church, 800 Enota Road. In addition, the club members make plans to attend other clubs as guests. We will begin to post all opportunities here on the site. Stay tune for more about our 2010 dance schedule.
